Cabbage is a wonderful thing. As an ingredient in warm dishes on cold days, it warms you pleasantly from the inside and provides important nutrients such as protein, carbohydrates, and fiber, which stimulate digestion. What makes pointed cabbage special: this variety of cabbage is easy to tolerate and digest. Furthermore, pointed cabbage contains numerous vitamins, including vitamin A, B1, B2, B5 (pantothenic acid), B6, folic acid, and vitamin C.
Ingredients for the pointed cabbage recipe:
- 1 kg potatoes
- 1 pointed cabbage (approx. 1 kg)
- a bunch each of dill, basil, parsley, and marjoram
- 200 g sour cream
- 100 g cream cheese (reduced fat)
- 100 g feta cheese (45% fat in dry matter)
- 1 tsp cornstarch
- ¼ l milk (1.5% fat)
- freshly ground pepper
- nutmeg
How to make it:
Wash the potatoes and place them in a pot with a little salted water. Wash, trim, and quarter the pointed cabbage and layer it on top of the potatoes. Let simmer over medium heat for about 45 minutes.
Wash the herbs, mix them with the sour cream and cheeses, and blend using a hand blender.
Mix the starch with a little milk, bring the remaining milk to a boil, stir in the starch milk and the herb mixture, and let cook for about 2 minutes. Season to taste with pepper and nutmeg. Arrange the pointed cabbage quarters and potatoes on a platter and pour the cheese sauce over the cabbage.
