BEAUTY FROM WITHIN – SHINE OUTWARDS
The subject of beauty has always preoccupied different cultures. In ancient times, beauty was considered something divine and perfect. In the Middle Ages, pale skin was considered a sign of attractiveness because it showed that someone belonged to a higher social class and was not sun-tanned like the peasants. In our age, the ideal of beauty is more diverse than ever. Beauty is also considered an expression of personality and well-being. Coco Chanel once said: Beauty begins the moment you decide to be yourself.
WHAT DOES BEAUTY LOOK LIKE?
For many people, physical attractiveness is often associated with a smooth, symmetrical face with beautiful skin, full hair and strong nails. What many people forget: beauty comes from within, from our basic mood in life and means being at peace with ourselves. Therefore, living a healthy and well-being life is the best goal for a naturally beautiful appearance. Because natural beauty is primarily associated with health.
EAT HEALTHY AND WELL
Health-conscious and beauty-conscious people rely on a balanced diet. Nevertheless, in many cases it can be difficult to ensure that all nutrients reach where they are needed and can have the best possible effect. The natural aging process also causes the skin to develop wrinkles and become saggy. Here, special beauty supplements can be a good option to support beautiful skin, hair and nails and to complement a health-conscious diet.
CAPSULES/TABLETS FOR BEAUTIFUL SKIN, HAIR AND NAILS?
There is a wide range of beauty products and nutritional supplements for beautiful skin, hair and nails. Which beauty ingredients should we pay particular attention to? Which vitamins are there for beautiful skin? And why is it important to pay attention to specific foods for beautiful skin?
WHAT TO TAKE FOR BEAUTIFUL SKIN, HAIR AND NAILS?
Beauty tips: rely on these beauty ingredients. Hyaluronic acid, trans-resveratrol, vitamin C, biotin, zinc and selenium are, along with Q10 and borage oil, some of the most important substances for beautiful skin, hair and nails. Many of these substances are found in creams, serums, concentrates and drinking ampoules. If you want support from the inside, you can take capsules with hyaluronic acid in combination with trans-resveratrol, vitamin C, biotin, zinc and selenium.
HYALURONIC ACID FOR BEAUTIFUL SKIN?
Anyone who deals with the topic of skin, connective tissue and joints will sooner or later come across this substance: hyaluronic acid. The body's own fluid is found in the skin, connective tissue, cartilage, synovial fluid and the eyes. It has water-binding effects and ensures moisture and elasticity.
STUDY: HYALURONIC ACID AGAINST DRY SKIN
A study by Kawada et al. (2014) investigated the effect of hyaluronic acid on dry skin. This was a randomized, double-blind and placebo-controlled study with 64 participants. One group received 120 mg of hyaluronic acid daily for 12 weeks, the other group a placebo.
The study showed that when taken orally through dietary supplements, both small and large hyaluronic acid molecules are bioavailable and absorbed into the tissue. The study participants who took hyaluronic acid had a significant improvement in their skin. The skin had more moisture and elasticity compared to the placebo group.
The research team concluded that hyaluronic acid can help with dry skin because it increases moisture and improves the skin.

WHAT DOES OXIDATIVE STRESS DO TO OUR SKIN?
Oxidative stress is caused in the body by an excess of free radicals. These are faulty molecular compounds that are missing an electron. In search of the missing electron, free radicals attack other cell structures in order to obtain the electron. A chain reaction can occur.
The consequences of oxidative stress at a glance:
-Inflammation triggers
-Acceleration of the aging process
-Damage to cell structures (e.g. skin cells and skin structures such as collagen and elastin)
OXIDATIVE STRESS AND TRANS-RESVERATROL
This is where resveratrol or trans-resveratrol comes into play. Another important beauty ingredient is trans-resveratrol, an antioxidant that is present in particularly high concentrations and in its bioactive form in the root of the Japanese knotweed.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN RESVERATROL AND TRANS-RESVERATROL?
Trans-resveratrol is even better and more bioavailable for the body. It can be absorbed more easily and better by the body than conventional resveratrol. Thanks to its greater bioavailability, trans-resveratrol is more effective. Trans-resveratrol is considered a beauty ingredient and natural anti-aging agent because of its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects, because it fights and neutralizes free radicals, i.e. oxidative stress. This plant-based antioxidant can therefore improve the complexion and reduce skin imperfections. Trans-resveratrol is an excellent natural substance for improving the health of skin, hair and nails, protecting cells and thus protecting the skin from changes caused by environmental influences such as pollution and sunlight. Trans-resveratrol can intensively support the functions of hyaluronic acid. The combination of both beauty ingredients is a true beauty elixir for the beauty, health and well-being of women and men of all ages.
STUDY: RESVERATROL AS ANTI-AGING THERAPY
A study from the University of Exeter investigated the cell rejuvenation factor of resveratrol. The researchers found that the plant-based antioxidant can increase the expression of splicing factors, which slows down the aging process of the cell and rejuvenates the cell. The scientists suggest that these results could represent a new target of investigation in the research and development of anti-aging therapies.
