RHODIOLA-ROSEA WITH ROSAVIN – PREMIUM QUALITY

The medicinal plant Rhodiola Rosea is used in many different ways in folk and natural medicine – according to tradition, as there is no scientific evidence for this.

In some mountain villages in Siberia, it is even tradition that the newlyweds receive a bundle of Rhodiola Rosea roots in order to have many healthy children. In parts of Asia, Rhodiola Rosea tea is drunk to treat colds, runny noses and coughs. Chinese emperors also called Rhodiola Rosea the "golden root". It was given the name roseroot because of its rose-like scent. Its use as a stimulating and adaptogenic medicinal plant is based only on tradition, although there are already a number of scientific studies on Rhodiola Rosea. However, as with many herbal drugs, Rhodiola Rosea as a dietary supplement is not a prescription drug. So let's limit ourselves to the beneficial properties of the plant itself for the body and mind.

RHODIOLA ROSEA – THE GOLDEN ROOT

The Rhodiola Rosea is an extremely resilient high mountain plant (up to 4,500 m above sea level) and is therefore a real survivor. There are around 200 Rhodiola Rosea species worldwide and they prefer poor soil and can be found in the mountainous regions of Europe and Asia as well as in the Arctic regions. During the growing season from May to September, the plant smells of roses. Rhodiola Rosea is drunk as a tea or eaten as a vegetable in many countries. The tuberous storage roots are used to produce the medicinally used extracts. The extracts obtained are then processed into capsules. Rhodiola Rosea contains glycosides, including rosavin and other valuable substances that are intended to protect the organism from the negative effects of free radicals.

The team led by Professor Dr. Wilfried Dimpfel from the Justus Liebig University in Giessen found in a series of tests that a positive influence on emotional abilities could be observed after just a single dose of Rhodiola Rosea. This was found in a series of tests because relaxing brain activities were stimulated and stressful ones suppressed. The test subjects were exposed to emotionally stressful situations such as a horror film or a photo of a tarantula.
