Getting out of your own head is one of the most difficult tasks. When we are in a certain state of mind, we easily get caught in a downward spiral. Here are simple detox tips:

Tidy up
Studies show that if the room, the office, or the desk around you is cluttered, your brain can feel the same way. Take 5 minutes and tidy up. Immediate satisfaction is guaranteed, and you contribute to your own well-being.

Practice mindfulness
Everyone is talking about it, but how difficult it is to implement... From now on, take a small, conscious break every day. Take a moment to breathe in consciously and exhale slowly three times. Pay attention to your surroundings. Be grateful.

Exercise
Go for a walk. Take a lap around the office. Stretch actively in your chair. Anything that gets you out of your sitting position is effective! Exercise has huge physical and mental effects – our bodies were not designed to sit in an office chair or in front of the TV for eight hours.

Sleep
True head detox happens while sleeping. When the body rests, the cleaning work in the brain begins. The body and mind find recovery. During sleep, when consciousness shuts down, repair, regeneration, and refreshment processes take place. Brain metabolism is then in full swing. Switch off in the garden
The garden is good for you. For those who love nature, gardening is just right. In nature, surrounded by greenery under the open sky, we can ground ourselves again, take a breath, switch off, be with ourselves, and recharge our energy. Incidentally, actively spending time in the garden has even more health benefits.

Laughter
Laughter is like meditation. You feel wonderful afterward. Meet up with your friends more often, have fun, and laugh together. There is even a new field of study that deals with the effects of laughter on the body and psyche, called gelotology. Incidentally, real, intense laughter is like a workout. More than a hundred muscles, such as facial muscles and respiratory muscles, are engaged.

Meditation
Meditation is definitely part of a mindful life. It is considered scientifically proven that people who meditate regularly stimulate the body’s self-healing processes. Daily "switching off" promotes inner balance and is an effective form of head detox and well-being. At the beginning, it may be hard to concentrate, but practice makes perfect.

Journaling
As simple as it is effective: keep a journal. Write down what is on your mind at the end of the day. Record your thoughts and feelings. The act of writing is a good way to organize your inner world and gain distance. Feelings can change. This allows you to capture what is truly important to you, what is good for you, or what you want to change. Organizing thoughts is a form of head detox and has to do with self-care.
