Rhodiola Rosea – The Golden Root

Rhodiola rosea is an extremely resilient high-altitude plant (up to 4,500 m above sea level) and therefore a true survivor. A team led by Professor Dr. Wilfried Dimpfel of the Justus Liebig University in Giessen found in a series of tests that even a single dose of Rhodiola rosea had a positive effect on emotional abilities. This was confirmed in a series of tests because relaxing brain activity was stimulated and stressful activity was suppressed. The test subjects were exposed to emotionally stressful situations, such as a horror film or a photograph of a tarantula.
